Originally from Illinois, Kip is proud to call Santa Barbara home for almost 30 years.

Kip is a creative problem solver who has contributed to the growth and profitability of numerous hospitality and design venues ranging from Luxury Hotels/Resorts and Spas, Fine Dining Restaurants, High-Volume Themed and Family Restaurants, Nightclubs, Bakery Concepts, Fast Food Concepts, Retail Environments, and Architecture & Interior Design organizations.

Drawing on an exciting and successful lengthy background in hospitality management and development, project management, marketing/business development, graphic design, competitive brand market research, mystery shopping services, luxury good sales, design/creative development, and senior relocation services allow Kip to offer a VERY UNIQUE SKILL-SET to his clients and their families.

One tidbit… in the 80’s, Kip began his management affiliation with the Hard Rock Café organization – from the launch of the original U.S. flagship operation in Los Angeles, to opening the San Francisco venue, to opening the Chicago venue, to operating the New York venue, to directing all operational materials for the Dallas Corporate office, and consulting with the Reykjavik, Iceland operation. An additional tidbit… as Director of Special Projects for Ty Warner Hotel & Resorts (at the time the Santa Barbara Four Seasons Biltmore, the Coral Casino, the San Ysidro Ranch, and the Four Seasons New York), Kip reviewed over 75 4-5 star hospitality venues (lodging and spas) across the country to provide competitive intelligence to Mr. Warner and his asset management and architectural team.

Kip has a life long love of architecture, design, and art. Having lived throughout the U.S. and abroad (Sweden & Iceland) in design rich cultures/environments and working directly with prominent architects and interior designers, Kip has been well exposed to unique architecture & interior design, and subsequently has developed a keen sense of design over the years.

In 2012 Kip launched Santa Barbara Senior Relocation Services (SRS) after seeing the need to help seniors whom were journeying through difficult transitions on their own – which started with his father’s successful relocation. Moving can be stressful enough, but it can be particularly challenging for older adults and their families when it comes to leaving a home filled with years of memories. SRS has been dedicated to serving Seniors and others in transition with concierge move management services, whether moving locally, regionally, or nationally – from customized floor planning, downsizing, professional packing, move day coordination, full move-in & setup services, purchasing services, estate/liquidation services, home closure and home sale preparation services. It’s truly been an honor for Kip to serve all his relocation clients over the years! Kip is proud of all the touching relocation testimonials he’s received since the firm’s founding.

As a Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES®), and a Senior Move Manager, Kip thoroughly understands the sensitivities and overwhelm that can be present in a lifestyle transition. He prides himself with a broad network of accomplished professionals to support his clients as needed, in addition he is well versed in the myriad of senior living alternatives available. Understanding that buying and selling can be a stressful event, Kip prides himself in guiding his clients respectfully and seamlessly through their real estate transaction, thus ultimately providing security and peace of mind to his clients and their loved ones.

When Kip is not helping his clients with their Real Estate and relocation strategies and goals, he enjoys spending time with his partner, Cheryl, in beautiful Santa Barbara and beyond, along with dining out with family and friends, biking, yoga, walking, and as time permits, designing and building one-of-a-kind hand crafted studio art pieces. Kip holds a Certificate in Marketing from the University of California Santa Barbara, and is also a graduate of the Krenov School of Fine Furniture in Mendocino County.
